The Flight of the Wild Geese and the long-standing friendship between Ireland and France was celebrated in Limerick over the weekend. The Festival’s busy schedule included lectures, historical re-enactments, games, music, tours and a celebration of French culture. The 2022 event was organised by Alliance Française Limerick in partnership with the Limerick Civic Trust and was deemed to be their most successful festival to date.

The afternoon began with a parade and flag raising, supported by the Irish Defence Forces, music from the Irish Chamber Orchestra, followed by a performance of the Cremona LegionÉire Dance Force. See the Troupe perform ‘Winter’ from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons here: https://youtu.be/ePhM3ArBTkU
